GHK-Cu (Glycyl-L-Histidyl-L-Lysine copper) is a naturally occurring tripeptide–copper complex (Gly-His-Lys·Cu²⁺) first isolated from human plasma in 1973 (MW 403.92 g/mol as Cu complex, CAS 89030-95-5). One of the most extensively characterized copper-binding peptides in biochemical literature, GHK-Cu has been studied across tissue biology, extracellular matrix research, genomics, and cellular signaling in multiple peer-reviewed investigations.
